"Crafting Nature: Beyond Organic Symbiosis" - A Future Ecological Art and Light Exhibition
"Crafting Nature—Beyond Organic Symbiosis" at AMBI SPACE ONE on the fifth floor of Taipei 101 brings a cross-disciplinary dialogue between art and science, nature and technology, observation and perception. This exhibition is not just about viewing, but a sensory experience that involves both body and mind. When ecological concepts meet AI computation, biomorphic forms, and human cultural memory, the exhibition space transforms into a symbiotic network of perception, inviting every viewer to rethink "what is nature" and become a part of creation through interaction.
The exhibition, curated by artist Chen Pu, extends the core ideas of his long-term project "Black and Blue Cosmos": each person is an ecosystem, each object is a life form. Within the exhibition space, visitors will walk among hand-drawn and digital hybrid biological installations, move through dynamic visuals and AI-generated images in a multidimensional space, share breaths with bioluminescent plants, and experience the diverse forms of life between tranquility and flow.
Exhibition highlights:
AI Interactive Creation Zone
Visitors can participate in the creation of AI images, triggering and generating incredible virtual life forms through taxonomic and morphological algorithms. This is a brainstorming session co-created by humans and AI, and a live laboratory for imagining the evolution of future species.
Immersive Visual Area
Featuring multi-channel synchronized surround visuals paired with sound field design, presenting organic pulsations from leaf veins and neural networks to space. Visitors will find themselves in a constantly evolving visual and temporal space, entering a different rhythm of breathing, syncing with the space and following the perspective of the protagonist "Time Traveler UJU", exploring life evolution, environmental imaginations, and empathetic realms from the future.
1:1 Scale Real Footage of Blue Whales, Descending upon Taipei 101
By restoring the precious real footage of blue whales and giant winged whales at 1:1 scale to this iconic immersive space in Taiwan, viewers can experience the awe of being there firsthand, as well as the symphony between technology and natural elements.
World-Class Plant Collection
The exhibition gathers rare plant species, in collaboration with well-known Taiwanese horticultural eco-brands, integrating world-class rare plants into the exhibition space to create a unique knowledge and ecological experience.
Large Plesiosaur Light Installation
Integrating hand-drawn, biomorphic models, and 3D design, the visual entity juxtaposes nature with the future, the microscopic with the macroscopic. One of the iconic installations, the "Plesiosaur Light Installation", penetrates the exhibition space with its grand posture, its design inspired by ancient life forms and blended with organic and futuristic mechanical elements, symbolizing an imagined ecological system of the past, present, and future.
Floral Plant Light Installation Art
Constructed with transparent balloons into floral structures, the lights flow gently from the roots to the top of the flowers, pulsating like the breath of life. The installation combines dynamic multimedia art to shape an immersive technological-nature space, letting the audience feel the fusion of plants and technology, immersing in a therapeutic experience akin to a wonderland.
MR Mixed Reality Interaction
The exhibition specially features a small mixed reality (Mixed Reality) experience zone, where visitors can interact with virtual life forms in real space through wearable devices. This area merges augmented reality with spatial positioning technology for a dual immersive experience of sight and action.
Limited-Time Events During the Exhibition
Carefully planned interdisciplinary activities including unplugged performances by Golden Melody singer Shumi En, sharing of natural and symbiotic viewpoints by fern expert Kuo Cheng-meng and landscape designer Hong Rui-jin. Plant stylist Yuty guides empathetic floral art creation, while Lululemon × The Median brings a yoga meditation experience focused on body-mind balance in the immersive space.
"Crafting Nature—Beyond Organic Symbiosis" blends nature, technology, art, and sensory experiences, inviting you to step into this incredible world, empathize with the boundless immersive space, coexist with plants, and co-create the future with your imagination.
