"Synthetic Nature: Beyond Organic Symbiosis" - A Future Ecological Art and Light Exhibition
"Synthetic Nature—Beyond Organic Symbiosis" at AMBI SPACE ONE on the fifth floor of Taipei 101 presents a multidimensional dialogue crossing art and science, nature and technology, observation and perception. This exhibition is not just about viewing but is a sensory experience that involves both the body and mind. When ecological concepts merge with AI computation, biological forms, and human cultural memory, the exhibition space transforms into a symbiotic network of perception, inviting every visitor to rethink "what nature is" and become a part of creation through interaction.
This exhibition is curated by artist Chen Pu, extending the core ideas from his long-term project "Black and Blue Cosmos": everyone is an ecosystem, and every object is a living entity. In the exhibition, visitors will walk among hand-drawn and digital hybrid biological installations, navigating through dynamic visual spaces constructed by AI-generated images, sharing breaths with bioluminescent plants, and experiencing the diverse forms of life in a silent and flowing environment.
Exhibition Highlights:
AI Interactive Creation Zone
Visitors can participate in the creation of AI-generated images, using taxonomic and morphological algorithms to trigger and generate incredible virtual life forms. This is a brainstorming session co-created by humans and AI, and also a live laboratory imagining the evolution of future species.
Immersive Imagery Zone
Featuring multi-channel synchronized surround imagery coupled with sonic designs, it presents an organic pulsation from leaf veins and neural networks to space. Visitors will find themselves in a constantly evolving visual and temporal space, as if entering a different breathing rhythm, synchronizing with the space and following the perspective of the protagonist "Time Traveler UJU", exploring future life evolution, environmental imagination, and fields of empathy.
1:1 Scale Real Footage of Blue Whales Descends on Taipei 101
By presenting real footage of blue whales and giant fin whales at a 1:1 scale in Taiwan's most representative immersive space, visitors will experience a stunning presence and a symphony of technology and natural elements.
World-Class Plant Collection
The exhibition gathers rare plant species in collaboration with well-known Taiwanese horticultural eco-brands, integrating world-class rare plants into the exhibition space, creating a unique knowledge and ecological experience.
Large-Scale Plesiosaur Light Installation
Integrating hand-drawn, biomorphic models, and 3D designs, this visual entity blends nature with the future, the microscopic with the macroscopic. One of the representative installations, the "Plesiosaur Light Installation," traverses the exhibition space with a grand posture, its form inspired by ancient biological shapes fused with organic and futuristic mechanical aesthetics, symbolizing a co-constructed imaginary ecosystem of past, present, and future.
Floral Plant Light Installation Art
Constructed with transparent balloons forming a floral structure, light flows gently from the base to the tip of the flowers, pulsating like the breath of life. The installation combines dynamic multimedia art to shape an immersive space of technology and nature, offering visitors a healing experience akin to a wonderland.
MR Mixed Reality Interaction
The exhibition features a small mixed reality (MR) interactive zone where visitors can interact with virtual life forms through wearable devices in real space. This area merges augmented reality with spatial positioning technology, providing a dual immersive experience of visual and physical interaction.
Limited-Time Events During the Exhibition
Curated activities encompassing music, design, and mind-body-spirit, featuring an unplugged performance by Golden Melody singer Shu Mei En, and talks on nature and symbiosis by fern expert Guo Cheng-Meng and landscape designer Hong Rui Jin. Plant stylist Yuty will present her years of living and new aesthetics with plants, while Lululemon × The Median brings balance through yoga and meditation experiences in the immersive space.
"Synthetic Nature—Beyond Organic Symbiosis" merges nature, technology, art, and sensory experiences, inviting you to step into this incredible world, empathize with the boundless immersive space, coexist with plants, and co-create the future with your imagination.
