Beitou Museum – A Historic Retreat
Located on the serene hillside of Beitou, the Beitou Museum is surrounded by an 800-ping garden, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling city. It is the only surviving example of a pure cypress wood two-story Japanese-style building in Taiwan, exuding an elegant yet mysterious and tranquil atmosphere. The museum is a private historic site and museum, showcasing Taiwan’s cultural heritage.
Originally built in 1921 during the Japanese colonial period, the building was once the highest-class hot spring resort named Kashan Hotel. Though it has changed hands and names several times, its captivating charm remains unchanged. In 1983, Mr. Zhang Chunming, the founder of the Beitou Museum, leased the building and established the Taiwan Folk Arts Museum. It officially opened in 1984, housing nearly 5,000 pieces of early Taiwanese folk art and indigenous cultural relics. The museum was renamed Beitou Museum in 1987.
After a significant restoration using traditional techniques from 2002 to 2008, the museum re-opened with a multi-functional model, offering dining, cultural products, and performance arts spaces, advancing as a platform for Taiwan’s creative industries.

Important Notes
No-shows or Cancellations: Once the voucher has been redeemed, cancellations or absences are non-refundable.
Order Modifications: The system does not allow changes to your order. To change your reservation date or ticket quantity, you must cancel the entire order and rebook.
Once any ticket has been redeemed, cancellation, exchange, or refund will not be accepted.
Each ticket can be redeemed once only. After redemption, no refund or cancellation will be possible.
This product cannot be accumulated or offset with shopping credits.

Tickets are only valid within the stated period. Expired tickets are automatically void. Unused or expired tickets will be deemed as redeemed and cannot be refunded, exchanged, or compensated in any form.
