Obsidian Black
At the "Watches and Wonders" exhibition in Geneva, Schaffhausen IWC Schaffhausen launched the new IWC Portuguese series. The never-ending cycle of day and night has also become the inspiration for four new iconic dial colors: Horizon Blue, Dune Gold, Obsidian Black, and Silver Moon. The design style of Obsidian Black features a black dial, gold-plated hands, and embedded hour markers, interpreting the pitch-black night sky and the golden city lights.
Model IW503702
New IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar Watch 44 (Model IW503702), the case is made of 18K Armor Gold®, with an Obsidian Black dial, gold-plated hands, and gold hour markers. The improved microstructure makes Armor Gold® harder and more resistant to wear than traditional 18K red gold. The watch is paired with a Santoni black alligator leather strap.
Model IW501707
New IWC Portuguese Automatic Watch 42 (Model IW501707), with a new case structure, slimmer bezel, and double-sided box-shaped sapphire glass that leaves a lasting impression. Inside the case operates the IWC Schaffhausen in-house caliber 520111, equipped with the Pellaton winding system, ceramic components, and a seven-day power reserve. Featuring an 18K red gold case, Obsidian Black dial, gold-plated hands, gold hour markers, and a Santoni black alligator leather strap with an 18K red gold folding clasp.

IWC Portuguese Chronograph (Model 371625), with an Obsidian Black dial, 18K red gold case, gold-plated hands, and gold hour markers that catch the eye. The lacquer finish brings an incredible depth to the dial. The combination of black and gold captures the darkness of the night and the golden warmth of the city lights at night. The watch is paired with a black alligator leather strap from Santoni.
