Taipei Zoo is one of the top ten city zoos in the world. It can be reached by MRT Wenhu Line. There are more than 400 animal species in the park, the largest zoo in Southeast Asia.
The display areas in the zoo are the Formosan Animal Area, Children's Zoo, Insectarium, Education Center, Koala House, Panda House (Xinguang Special Exhibit House), Asian Tropical Rainforest Area, Desert Animal Area, Australian Animal Area, African Animal Area, Bird World, Amphibian and Reptile House, Temperate Zone Animal Area, Penguin House, etc.
You will be able to see animals not easily seen in our daily life here. Through a professional and detailed guided tour, you will further understand the living environment and habits of animals. It is good for education, conservation research and leisure.
The zoo is an educational museum with life diversity, and it serves multiple purposes. It is a conservation area for wildlife animals and a rich and intellectual tourist attraction for the public.

Taipei zoo opening time:
- Opening hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Last entry 4:00 pm)
- Animals exhibit: 9:00 am ~ 4:30 pm
Reminder:
- The zoo is closed to the public on Chinese New Year's Eve (Feb 9, 2024 ) and late June (From Jun 19 to Jun 28, 2024)
- The zoo will be closed on days when the Taipei City Government announces natural disasters (e.g. Typhoons).
Taipei Zoo entry methods:
1. No paper tickets will be sent, only use the QR code.
2. Please proceed to gates No. 5, accessible entrance No. 2 (Depending on the actual open channels on-site), or the South Station entrance, using the automatic ticket-checking machine to scan the QR code electronic ticket for entry.
3. After the QR code is scan to entry, admission is limited to same-day, next day admission will not be offered.

- Final Admission:20:15

- The ticket can visit the observation deck on the 89th floor, the observation deck on the 91st floor (closed on rainy days, strong winds, and other force majeure), Wind Damper exhibition on the 88th floor.
