Shaffhausen IWC has launched three special edition timepieces inspired by the “APXGP” racing team, further enriching the lineup of its Pilot’s Watch collection.
The new Pilot’s Chronograph 41 (model IW388309) features an 18K red gold case paired with a sapphire glass back, a black lacquered dial, and a black ceramic tachymeter bezel, worn by Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce in the film. The case, pushers, and crown are crafted from 18K red gold, and the black lacquered dial undergoes a highly engineered manufacturing process, with sub-dials at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock individually modified and printed. The gold-plated hour markers, numerals, and the distinctive triangle at 12 o'clock are manually polished and then fixed to the dial, also covered with Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, ensuring perfect readability. The high-performance Chronograph 41 is paired with a black rubber strap, which can be quickly and easily changed thanks to the integrated EasX-CHANGE® system.
