Introducing the Engineer Automatic Watch 40 Green Dial Special Edition inspired by the watch worn by F1® movie protagonist SONNY HAYES
At the Geneva "Watches and Wonders" fair, Schaffhausen IWC Watches unveiled the Engineer Automatic Watch 40 Green Dial Special Edition. This watch is inspired by the timepiece worn by Sonny Hayes, the protagonist in the upcoming Apple original movie F1®. In the film, he sports a custom-made Engineer SL watch (model 1832) featuring a green dial that symbolizes his personal signature color.
New Engineer Automatic Watch 40 Green Dial Special Edition
This movie-specific watch led to the creation of the Engineer Automatic Watch 40 Special Edition (model IW328908), which features a stainless steel case and bracelet, limited to
1000 pieces. It comes with a green "grid" pattern dial and gold-plated hour markers, replicating the color scheme and combination worn by Sonny Hayes in the film. The gold-plated hands and metal hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova® for optimal readability.
The Engineer Automatic Watch 40 Special Edition (model IW328908) features an integrated bracelet with a butterfly folding clasp, connected to the case through the middle link for ultimate comfort. It is equipped with the IWC-manufactured 32111 caliber, boasting a 120-hour power reserve and 10 bar (100 meters) water resistance. True to the Engineer collection’s tradition, it includes a soft-iron inner case to effectively shield the movement from magnetic fields.
