Schaffhausen IWC is proud to introduce three new Pilot’s Chronograph watches, celebrating its partnership with the Apple original film F1®.The Pilot’s Chronograph "APXGP" special edition (model IW378009) features a 43mm stainless steel case, while the Pilot’s Chronograph 41 "APXGP" special edition (model IW388116) comes with a 41mm stainless steel case. These two chronographs are designed specifically for the "APXGP" team in the movie, with a color scheme mainly in black, gold, and white. The stainless steel case pairs with a black dial, where the minute and hour hands, as well as the hands on the sub-dials, are gold-plated and coated with white Super-LumiNova® for excellent readability.
Both watches feature a light blue sapphire glass back, printed with the golden "APXGP" team logo. The watches are water-resistant up to 10 bar (100 meters). They come with a black rubber strap featuring special laser engraving to commemorate the "APXGP" team. The straps are durable, waterproof, and equipped with IWC’s EasX-CHANGE® system, which allows the wearer to change straps easily without any tools by just pressing a button.
Both models are powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber, a mechanical chronograph movement known for its performance, reliability, and precision. It features a classic column-wheel design that ensures accurate timekeeping up to 12 hours. The distinctive vertical sub-dial arrangement places the minute counter at the 12 o'clock position, greatly enhancing readability. The bi-directional pawl winding system provides a 46-hour power reserve for the mainspring.
