Light and Shadow Painting: A Journey into the Palace Museum - Immersive Feast Across Time and Space
For the first time, this fully immersive exhibition uses light and shadow to awaken cultural artifacts, traversing historical scenes and taking you into the exquisite paintings of Lang Shining and the Four Seasons landscapes.
The Palace Museum, in collaboration with Science and Culture Dual Fusion, presents its first fully immersive exhibition, revealing the charm of the fusion of classic paintings and the art of light and shadow. "Tracing the Footsteps of Painters" focuses on Lang Shining's integration of Western and Eastern painting techniques, showcasing how this Jesuit missionary incorporated Western painting techniques into the Eastern palace to create stunning artistic treasures. "Journey of the Four Seasons" showcases the landscape masterpieces of the Song and Yuan dynasties such as Guo Xi and Wen Zhengming, recreating the poetic beauty of the four seasons through flowing brushstrokes.
The exhibition combines AI technology and generative art to create large-scale light and shadow paintings using five high-resolution projectors, allowing the paintings to come to life in a fully immersive space. You will experience the breathtaking fusion of history and technology, engaging in a dialogue across time and space with the classic cultural relics of the Palace Museum, sharing an immersive feast of art and culture.
Special Feature!
The classic animated film "National Treasure Dolls Enter the Treasure Mountain" from the Palace Museum vividly explores the charm of classic national treasures such as "One Hundred Horses" and "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains," making it suitable for the whole family to enjoy while learning.
