Exhibition Overview:

The "Louise Bourgeois: I have been to hell and back. And let me tell you, it was wonderful" exhibition is the first major showcase of Bourgeois’s work in Taiwan, featuring over 80 iconic pieces including the widely recognized "Spider" sculptures, precious early paintings, and the symbolically rich "Cells" series. The exhibition is divided into three main themes and two supplementary sections, focusing on "Maternal Concerns," "Reflections on Her Father," and "Inner Healing," exploring the artist’s life experiences and creative journey; the additional sections present rare early paintings and her representative sculptures from the 1960s.

This exhibition aims to provide insight into the life and emotional struggles of this great artist and, through her resilient artistic spirit, deeply touch the core of life, memory, and emotion, sparking profound reflections on human existence and the inner world.
